Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your guide who will transfer you to your hotel in Kampala. This day allows for relaxation after your journey, with dinner served at the hotel where you can also prepare for the exciting adventure ahead.

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, depart Kampala and head west to Kibale Forest National Park, a journey that takes you through lush countryside and traditional Ugandan villages. Enjoy a scenic drive and a stop for lunch en route. Upon arrival in the afternoon, settle into your lodge near Kibale Forest where you can relax and prepare for the next day’s activities.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest

Wake up early for a thrilling chimpanzee tracking experience in Kibale Forest. Learn about their behaviors and social dynamics before returning to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you have the option to relax or explore nearby attractions.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today, depart Kibale Forest after breakfast and journey south to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Along the way, enjoy stunning views of the Rwenzori Mountains and pass through the Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions. Arrive at your lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park in time for lunch and spend the afternoon at leisure, soaking in the beauty of your surroundings.

Day 5: Game Drive and Boat Safari

After the game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast and some relaxation. In the afternoon, embark on a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, a natural channel that connects Lake Edward and Lake George. This cruise offers excellent opportunities to spot hippos, crocodiles, and a wealth of birdlife along the shores.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

The drive will take you through the picturesque countryside of southwestern Uganda, passing traditional villages and terraced hillsides. Arrive at your lodge near Bwindi in the afternoon, where you can relax and prepare for the upcoming gorilla habituation experience.

Day 7-11: Gorilla Habituation Experience

These days are the highlight of your trip as you participate in the gorilla habituation experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Unlike regular gorilla trekking, this activity allows you to spend more time with a gorilla family under habituation. Accompanied by researchers and guides, trek through the dense forest to locate the gorillas, observe their behaviors, and learn about conservation efforts. Each day, you’ll have the opportunity to track different gorilla families, providing a unique and immersive experience with these endangered primates.

Day 12: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

In the afternoon, embark on a game drive through the park, known for its zebras, impalas, elands, and other wildlife species.
