Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative who will transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure, allowing you to recover from your journey. Take time to relax and enjoy the serene surroundings of Lake Victoria or explore the lush gardens of the hotel. In the evening, there will be a briefing about your upcoming adventure, setting the tone for the exciting days ahead.

Day 2: Entebbe – Mabamba Swamp

Today, we embark on an exciting bird-watching excursion to Mabamba Swamp, renowned for the elusive shoebill stork. The swamp is an extensive marshland that stretches through papyrus reeds and water lilies, offering a unique bird-watching experience. As we navigate the channels by canoe, you’ll have the chance to spot numerous bird species, including kingfishers, herons, and the spectacular shoebill. After a fulfilling morning, we return to the hotel for lunch and some relaxation time.

Day 3: Entebbe – Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary – Murchison Falls National Park

After an early breakfast, we set off for Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, a dedicated reserve for the protection of endangered white rhinos. Enjoy a guided trek to observe these magnificent creatures up close in their natural habitat. Following the rhino trek, we continue to Murchison Falls National Park, where we check into our lodge. The day ends with a relaxed evening and dinner at the lodge, with the sound of the Nile River in the background.

Day 4: Murchison Falls National Park

This day is packed with thrilling activities, starting with an early morning game drive on the northern bank of the park. Expect to see a variety of wildlife, including lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and numerous antelope species. After lunch, we embark on a boat cruise along the Nile River to the base of the majestic Murchison Falls. En route, you will see hippos, crocodiles, and a multitude of bird species. The cruise offers breathtaking views of the falls and an opportunity to see wildlife along the riverbanks.

Day 5: Murchison Falls National Park – Hoima

We start the day with a visit to the top of Murchison Falls, where the Nile River crashes through a narrow gorge, creating one of the most powerful surges of water in the world. Upon arrival in Hoima, we check into our lodge, where you can unwind and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere.

Day 6: Hoima – Kibale National Park

Today, we continue our journey to Kibale National Park, known for its rich primate population. The drive takes us through verdant tea plantations and scenic countryside. Upon arrival, we check into our lodge nestled in the forest, where you can relax and prepare for tomorrow’s adventures.

Day 7: Kibale National Park

The highlight of today is the chimpanzee tracking experience in Kibale Forest. Accompanied by experienced guides, you will trek through the forest in search of these fascinating primates. Kibale Forest is home to 13 species of primates, and you might also encounter colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and grey-cheeked mangabeys. After the trek, we have lunch and then head to Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a nature walk. This community-run project offers a chance to see more wildlife and learn about local conservation efforts.

Day 8: Kibale National Park – Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, we drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, with a stop at the crater lakes region. The landscape here is dotted with scenic crater lakes, formed by ancient volcanic activity. We then continue to our lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you can enjoy lunch and some relaxation. In the afternoon, you may choose to take a guided nature walk or simply rest at the lodge.

Day 9: Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today is dedicated to exploring Queen Elizabeth National Park. We start with a morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, where you can expect to see lions, elephants, buffaloes, and a variety of antelope species. After lunch, we embark on a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, which boasts one of the highest concentrations of hippos in Africa. The channel is also a haven for birdlife, making it a birdwatcher’s paradise. The cruise provides excellent photographic opportunities as you observe wildlife along the banks.

Day 10: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Ishasha Sector

Day 11: Ishasha Sector – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

The journey takes us through scenic landscapes and rural communities. Upon arrival, we check into our lodge situated at the edge of the forest. The rest of the day is at leisure, allowing you to relax and prepare for the exciting gorilla trekking experience.

Day 12: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today is the highlight of our trip – gorilla trekking in Bwindi. After a briefing by the park rangers, we set off into the forest in search of a gorilla family. The trek can be physically demanding, but the reward of spending time with these gentle giants in their natural habitat is incomparable. You will have up to one hour to observe and photograph the gorillas. After the trek, we return to the lodge for a well-deserved rest and share stories of our incredible encounter.

Day 13: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

We spend the day immersing ourselves in the local culture with a community walk to visit the Batwa people, one of Uganda’s indigenous groups. This cultural experience provides a deeper understanding of the region’s rich heritage. After the community visit, we return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 15: Lake Bunyonyi – Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

Reaching the summit offers a sense of achievement and panoramic views of Uganda, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. We return to the lodge in the afternoon to rest and recover.

Upon arrival, we check into our lodge and have the afternoon to relax or take a nature walk.

We check into our resort, with the rest of the day at leisure to explore or relax.

Day 21: Jinja

Prepare for an adrenaline-filled day with white water rafting on the Nile River. Experienced guides will lead you through a series of thrilling rapids, providing an unforgettable adventure. For those preferring a more relaxed experience, alternative activities such as horseback riding, quad biking, or visiting local craft markets are available. After the day’s activities, we return to the resort for dinner and a well-earned rest.

Day 22: Jinja – Kampala

We depart Jinja and drive to Kampala, Uganda’s vibrant capital city. Upon arrival, we embark on a city tour, visiting key landmarks such as the Uganda Museum, Namugongo Martyrs Shrine, and the bustling markets. The tour offers insights into the history and culture of Uganda. We then check into our luxurious hotel for our final night in Uganda.
