3 Days of Bwindi gorilla trekking is designed for the adventure travelers who have those 3 extra days off their schedules around East Africa to do a memorable trip in one of Uganda’s remaining natural forests-Bwindi, and see the gentle giants deep down in the jungle of Bwindi their natural home.
On this 3-days thriller, we can begin off the journey with a pick up from Kampala-Uganda and drive southwest of Kampala via Lake Mburo and Queen Elizabeth National parks with lots of sightings along the way.
Gorilla trekking in Uganda is done in Bwindi impenetrable forest National Park mainly in Buhoma, Ruhija, Nkuringo, Rushaga, and or Mgahinga national park. Remember there are 8-trekkers in each gorilla tracking family of which a ranger guide and guard are assigned to lead each group of travelers to the gorillas in the forest.
Note: Before you pack your bag to come on a gorilla trekking tour, make sure you have done some physical training with running up hills and some pressure ups.
3 Days of Bwindi gorilla trekking and Lake Bunyonyi safari package takes you through adventurous, memorable, and relaxing moments, and gives you chances to the thrilling and exciting mountain gorilla tracking expedition in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Park situated in the southwestern region of Uganda, and an adventurous driving through the hilly areas of Kisoro – Kabale. After your morning breakfast on day 3, expect to go canoeing on Lake Bunyonyi.
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
You are picked up from wherever you deem convenient by our driver guide at exactly 7:00 am for your adventurous safari trip. We shall have a brief stopover at the Uganda Equator for some minutes, snaps, and then proceed to Mbarara town for where we shall have our lunch from at Agip motel.
After our lunch in Mbarara town, we continue with our journey to Bwindi Impenetrable
Day 2: 3 Days of Bwindi gorilla trekking and Lake Bunyonyi Kabale Experience
After having the morning breakfast, report to the Bwindi park headquarters by exactly 7:30 am for brief highlights and guidelines or rules about the mountain gorilla trekking etiquette. After the brief highlights at the entrance of the park and at the same time the starting point for the giant gorilla tracking.
We shall penetrate the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to look for these gentle giant mountain gorillas under the guidance of a trained, knowledgeable and experienced guide.
Time taken tracking highly depends on how fast you will locate a gorilla family, it can take us a few minutes or even an entire day to locate them. We shall return from the highly tiresome adventure to relaxation.
After the gorilla tracking activities, we shall drive through the terraced hills and finally head to Lake Bunyonyi for a comfortable and great relaxing time at Bunyonyi Rock Resort.
Day 3: Canoeing on Lake Bunyonyi and travel back to Kampala
After having the early morning breakfast, we shall go canoeing on Lake Bunyonyi and finally drive back to Kampala after lunch en-route.
