Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll be greeted by our representative who will brief you on the journey ahead. You’ll then embark on a scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, passing through the lush, green Ugandan countryside. Along the way, you’ll stop in Mbarara for a delightful lunch before continuing the journey, witnessing the landscape transform from rolling hills to the dense, verdant forest of Bwindi. Arriving at your lodge in the late afternoon, you can relax and soak in the serene surroundings before enjoying a delicious dinner, followed by a peaceful night’s sleep, in preparation for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Gorilla Habituation Experience
After an early breakfast, you’ll head to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla behavior and trekking guidelines. Equipped with a packed lunch, you’ll venture into the dense forest with experienced guides and researchers. The trek is challenging but rewarding, leading you to a gorilla family with whom you’ll spend up to four hours. This extended time allows for a profound understanding of their interactions, behaviors, and social structure. The researchers’ insights enhance this educational and awe-inspiring experience. After an unforgettable encounter, you’ll trek back to the lodge for a well-deserved dinner and a restful night, reflecting on the day’s extraordinary moments.

Day 3: Community Walk and Optional Activities
Following a leisurely breakfast, you’ll embark on a guided community walk to visit the Batwa pygmies, the forest’s original inhabitants. In the afternoon, you can choose from optional activities such as nature walks, bird watching, or visiting a nearby waterfall, each offering unique perspectives on the region’s biodiversity and cultural heritage. As the day winds down, you’ll return to your lodge for a relaxing evening, enjoying a hearty dinner and the tranquility of the forest surroundings.

Day 4: Return to Entebbe and Departure
After breakfast, you’ll bid farewell to Bwindi and begin the journey back to Entebbe, retracing your steps through Uganda’s stunning landscape. A stop for lunch along the way provides a chance to relax and refresh. Upon arrival in Entebbe, you’ll have some time for last-minute shopping or relaxation before your departure flight. If you have an evening flight, a day-use room can be arranged for you to freshen up and rest. Finally, you’ll be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight, concluding your tour with cherished memories of your gorilla habituation experience and the natural beauty of Uganda.
