Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel. After check-in and some rest, embark on a city tour of Kigali. This tour includes a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, where you will learn about the tragic history of the Rwandan Genocide and the country’s remarkable recovery. Explore the local markets and crafts centers, where you can purchase handmade souvenirs and get a sense of the vibrant local culture. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner at your hotel, sampling local cuisine and preparing for the adventures ahead.

Day 2: Kigali to Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast, depart Kigali and drive to Musanze, the gateway to Volcanoes National Park. En route, enjoy the scenic views of Rwanda’s rolling hills and lush landscapes. In the afternoon, visit the Iby’iwacu Cultural Village, where you will have the opportunity to interact with local people and learn about their traditions, dance, and music. Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
Rise early for a hearty breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking. Trek through the dense forest, guided by experienced trackers, to find a gorilla family. This trek can be challenging but incredibly rewarding, as you spend an unforgettable hour observing these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. Watch the gorillas interact, play, and feed in the wild. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure, reflecting on this extraordinary experience and enjoying the lodge’s amenities.

Day 4: Golden Monkey Trekking and Visit to Twin Lakes

Perhaps visit the Caplaki Crafts Village for some souvenirs or explore more of the city’s vibrant neighborhoods. Your guide will then transfer you to the airport for your departure flight, marking the end of a memorable journey through Rwanda’s natural beauty and rich culture.
