Singita Sasakwa Lodge opened in 2007. Its sister camps, Faru Faru and Sabora really shook the hierarchy of the Serengeti up in a big way.

Set in the crook of the Serengeti, just above the Grumeti and Central Serengeti regions of the park.

They are actually set in the private Grumeti Reserves at the top of Sasakwa Hill.

If you want to push the boat out then Sasakwa is absolutely the place to head for.


Paul Tudor Jones, a famous investor owns the properties. He wanted to create a selection of lodges that complimented each other.Paul also wanted a year for game viewing and general relaxation.

The main camp also has a selection of different sized cottages, each vary in size and numbers of rooms.

These cater perfectly for small families or couples looking for a romantic getaway.

They made all with exquisite design using the river stone. Also outstanding views are definitely out across the Serengeti to maximum effect.

Singita Sasakwa Lodge is an old colonial home, with arguably the best views in Africa.

The stables are situated here, with a string of excellent quality horses and ponies. There are some kinder horses for the less experienced riders.

Although for experienced riders the quality horses combined with the wide open plains is definitely heaven.


The lodge has ten villas, all of vary in sizes, each with private pools. The main infinity pool is very inviting.

Besides a  home cinema, tennis court and spa, there is also a main area at Singita Sasakwa with dining room.  The whole lodge has wireless internet.
