Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport (EBB), you will be warmly welcomed by our representative who will assist with your transfer to your chosen accommodation in Entebbe or Kampala. Take this opportunity to relax and prepare for the upcoming adventure.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, commence your journey to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and oldest national park. The drive offers opportunities for game drives and wildlife sightings along the way. Arrive at your chosen lodge or camp within the park, check in, and enjoy lunch.

In the afternoon, embark on a game drive in Murchison Falls National Park, where you may encounter elephants, giraffes, lions, and a variety of antelope species. Return to your accommodation in the evening for dinner and relaxation.

Day 3: Game Drive and Boat Safari in Murchison Falls NP

Set out on an early morning game drive to explore the park’s diverse wildlife. Keep an eye out for the Big Five, including lions, leopards, and buffalos, as well as numerous bird species. Afterward, return to your lodge for breakfast and some relaxation.

In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari on the Nile River, which offers remarkable opportunities for wildlife viewing, including hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of birdlife. The boat will take you to the base of the breathtaking Murchison Falls, where you can witness the powerful Nile River squeezing through a narrow gorge before plunging into a cascading waterfall. Return to your accommodation for dinner and relaxation.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, depart for Kibale Forest National Park, renowned for its vibrant population of chimpanzees and other primates. The drive takes you through picturesque countryside and local communities. Arrive at your chosen lodge or camp near Kibale, check in, and savor lunch.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest

Today is dedicated to an exciting chimpanzee tracking experience in Kibale Forest National Park. After an early breakfast and briefing, set out on a guided trek to search for these lively primates in their natural habitat. Kibale is renowned for its high chimpanzee population, offering excellent chances of encounters.

During the trek, you may also spot other primates and a variety of bird species. After spending time observing the chimpanzees, return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Uganda’s premier wildlife reserves. The journey takes you through lush landscapes and offers breathtaking views. Arrive at your chosen lodge or camp within the park, check in, and have lunch.

In the afternoon, set out for a game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you’ll have a chance to spot various wildlife species, including elephants, buffalos, and numerous antelope species. Return to your accommodation in the evening for dinner and relaxation.

Day 7: Full-Day Game Drive and Boat Safari

Today, set out on a full day of game drives within Queen Elizabeth National Park, providing ample time to explore the diverse ecosystems and wildlife. Keep an eye out for the Big Five and the park’s numerous bird species as your guide shares insights into the animals’ behavior and habitats.

In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway connecting Lake George and Lake Edward. This boat safari offers exceptional opportunities for wildlife viewing, including hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of birdlife. Return to your accommodation in the evening for dinner and relaxation.

Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest (Buhoma)

After breakfast, depart for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the mountain gorillas. The scenic journey takes you through picturesque landscapes and local communities. Arrive at your chosen lodge or camp in Buhoma, check in, and have lunch.

Day 9: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

Today marks the highlight of your safari – gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking etiquette and safety guidelines. You’ll also be assigned to one of the gorilla families that you’ll visit today.

The trek can vary in duration and difficulty, depending on the location of the gorilla family you’re visiting. It may take a few hours or the entire morning, but the experience of encountering these gentle giants in their natural habitat is truly rewarding.

Once you find the gorilla family, you’ll have up to an hour with them.

After the gorilla trek, return to your lodge for lunch and some relaxation. In the afternoon, you can explore the surrounding area or participate in optional activities like a community visit or nature walk.

Day 10: Departure

After breakfast, bid farewell to the beautiful Bwindi Forest and depart for your next destination or journey home, marking the end of your 10-day wildlife and gorilla safari in Uganda. Your guide will transfer you to the nearest airstrip or the location of your choice.
