Your 6 Days Masai Mara and Serengeti safari begins in Nairobi, Kenya, and travels across the scenic Great Rift Valley to the world-famous Masai Mara Game Reserve. Furthermore, we go in search of the rich wildlife that has made Kenya’s premier game reserve.

Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara national Reserve

Firstly, pick up at 7:00 a.m. from your hotel or place of stay. Thereafter, we shall depart for our trip south along the Great Rift Valley’s floor. Then we shall have a pit stop at the View Point for a breath-taking view of the rift valley. While there, you will take photographs and buy souvenirs. In addition, you will get an opportunity to listen to African stories about the rift valley’s creation.

In the afternoon, we arrive at our tented camp in time for lunch before heading out on our first exciting game drive in the Masai Mara Game Reserve.

Then, we return to the safari camp near Masai Mara Game Park after our game drive for dinner and an evening of relaxation. Thereafter, we sleep in permanent walk-in tents with en-suite showers, mosquito nets, and beds.

Day 2: Full day Masai Mara

Our morning and afternoon game drives take us in search of Africa’s Big Five as well as the diverse wildlife that inhabits this vast Kenyan game reserve. More to that, the Mara presents spectacular orange-tinged sunsets that are worth photographing on clear days.

Moreover, the Masai Mara is home to a diverse range of animals. For instance;

  • Masai giraffes
  • baboons
  • warthogs
  • bat-eared foxes
  • gray jackals
  • spotted hyena
  • topis
  • impala
  • hartebeests
  • wildebeests.

Also, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and hippos can be present in large groups.

Occasionally, lions may be seen either basking in the sun after a large meal or surveying the plains for their next meal. On the other hand, Leopards and cheetahs are more difficult to spot, but they are fairly common.

The annual wildebeest exodus, known as the Great Migration, occurs in July and August. Furthermore, millions of these grazers migrate north from the Serengeti in search of greener pastures, before returning south in October. After the adventure, we shall return to our lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Masai Mara to Serengeti national park.

After breakfast at your camp in the morning, we shall check out with a packed lunch from your camp. Afterwards, a three-hour drive takes you to the Tanzanian border at Isebania. You will arrive at the border at about 10:45 a.m. More to that, it will take 45 minutes or more to process your visa and move into Tanzania. Afterwards, you will travel to the Serengeti.

Arrive late in the afternoon at our lodge, we will have en-route game drive as soon as we enter the park till we reach our lodge. Dinner and overnight at our lodge.

Day 4: Full day Serengeti

Breakfast is served in the early morning at your lodge. After tea, depart with a packed lunch for a full day of game viewing. The Serengeti National Park is without a doubt Tanzania’s most beautiful national park. In addition, throughout the year, you can see huge herds of buffalo, elephants, and giraffes as well as millions of antelopes such as elands, topis, impalas, kongonis, and Grant’s gazelles, and many more. If you’re lucky, you’ll be able to see the three big cats quickly.

Interestingly, lions are often seen celebrating a kill or sleeping. If you’re fortunate, you could see cheetahs in the Southeastern plains. Conversely, leopards rest in the giant trees.

Return to our lodge later in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Full day Serengeti

Wake up early for another day of exploring the endless plains of Serengeti national park. Thereafter, go for a full-day game drive for another day of encountering the big game of Africa. Serengeti never disappoints. You will have a rich wildlife experience. Additionally, your driver-guide will be on the lead to spot for you the big five and other games around the park. Return later in the evening to our lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Departure

Depending on the flight schedule, we wake up very early in the morning and drive through the Ngorongoro crater conservation area. Our eyes will always be busy throughout the drive with more game to view en route. We stop briefly at the crater viewpoint for an aerial view of the crater. Then, we continue with our drive to Arusha to catch up with our late afternoon flight back home
