Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Your adventure begins with your arrival at Kigali International Airport (KGL), where you will be warmly welcomed by our representative. After the greeting, embark on a scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park, situated in Rwanda’s northwest. En route, you will be captivated by the stunning landscapes and the picturesque “Land of a Thousand Hills.”

Upon reaching the park, check in to your chosen Luxury lodge or hotel, where you can relax and savor a delicious dinner.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

After an early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking guidelines. You’ll be assigned to a gorilla family group and set off on an exhilarating trek into the park’s lush forests, in pursuit of the mountain gorillas.

The duration and difficulty of the trek may vary, but the anticipation and excitement will keep you motivated. Once you encounter the gorilla family, you’ll have a mesmerizing hour to observe and photograph these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. Witness their social interactions, behaviors, and the bond between family members.

After the gorilla trek, return to your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you can visit the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village to learn about traditional practices, enjoy vibrant dance performances, and interact with local communities.

Day 3: Transfer to Akagera National Park

Following breakfast, bid farewell to Volcanoes National Park and set off on a journey to Akagera National Park in the east of Rwanda. The drive offers scenic views and opportunities for wildlife sightings.

Upon arriving at Akagera, check in to your selected midrange lodge, where you can relax and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a game drive in Akagera National Park, where you may encounter a variety of wildlife, including elephants, buffalos, lions, and antelopes.

Day 4: Full Day Game Drive in Akagera National Park

Today, you’ll explore the savannah landscapes of Akagera National Park on a full-day game drive. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and relaxation.

Day 5: Transfer to Lake Kivu

Day 6: Lake Kivu Exploration and Departure from Kigali

After the boat tour, enjoy lunch at your hotel before beginning your journey back to Kigali.
