Day 1: Pick up from hotel in Arusha/airport and transfer to Serengeti national park
After a healthy breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up from your Arusha hotel and driven to the Serengeti National Park. You’ll be driving through the Great Rift Valley area on this scenic trip to the wildlife mecca. The drive will take us across Lake Manyara and the Ngorongoro Crater, with a stop at the Crater View Point. Passing through the Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area which is home to a large population of migratory animals.
The driving speed-reducing due to large encountering of wildlife viewing. We can have several breaks en route as we head to Serengeti national park. At the gate, we have a lunch break as the driver guide is clearing the park entrance. We can have a brief walk to the kopjes for an aerial view of the southern part of Serengeti national park.
After we proceed inside the park with our en-route game drive. We have a chance to view a wide range of animal species not forgetting the African big five (Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Buffaloes, and Rhinos) other visible games include Giraffes, Hyenas, Cheetahs, topis, gazelles, wildebeests, zebras mention but a few. Check in our lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: morning and afternoon game drives
Wake up early for the delicious breakfast we go for a morning game drive in the central part of the Serengeti National Park Area (seronera) area. This is one of the popular places for sighting lions, Leopards, Buffaloes, Elephants, wildebeests, zebras, Cheetahs, Gazelles, and many others. After we retire back for lunch, depending on the location of your lodge. We can drive back to the lodge for lunch or if far we get to the Information center and open our lunch boxes.
In the afternoon go for the new encounter for the missed animals. This time we head in a different direction for the new experience. We choose to visit hippo pools or extend to the North to look for the Rhinos and other games. Dinner and overnight at our lodge.
Day 3: Serengeti to Ngorongoro to Arusha
After our breakfast, we check out of the lodge and start our sightseeing drive to Ngorongoro crater. We will have a good view of more animals and birds en route as we exit Serengeti national park and enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This is among the few conservation areas in the world where humans live peacefully with the wildlife. Continue to the entry point of the crater where we stop for the aerial views of the crater.
After descending down to the 600 meters deep crater for the game drive. Our game drive will take you close to the big game like Rhinos, Elephants, Leopards, Lions, hyenas, buffaloes, Jackals, gazelles, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, and many others. Ascend and exit the crater and we drive to Arusha, check-in our hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Arusha to Kigali to Volcanoes
Wake up early for breakfast and kiss goodbye to Tanzania, transfer to Arusha airport for our flight to Kigali Rwanda. Our driver-guide will be waiting for you at Kigali International Airport. Meet the driver guide who will brief you on the Rwanda safari, we start with a city tour before we break off for lunch. After lunch, we drive to Volcanoes national park, check in our lodge for dinner, and overnight.
Day 5: Gorilla tracking
Enjoy a delicious breakfast before your driver-guide whisks you out to the park’s headquarters for beefing at 8 a.m. Later, embark on the amazing journey of Mountain gorilla trekking, which in most situations involves some physical training on the part of the hikers.
Trekking takes between 1 and 6 hours on most occasions, and trekkers are allowed to spend 1 hour with the gorillas. It’s a joy to watch them dance, guard each other, and drink, among other things. Hikers would have the opportunity to see other wildlife such as golden monkeys, buffaloes, and birds while trekking.
After the trek, you will be escorted back to the park headquarters where you will meet your driver-guide. We open our lunch boxes as we keep relaxing at the park headquarters. Later drive back to our lodge. We can have an evening cultural walk to the cultural centers around. Dinner and overnight at our lodge.
Day 6: Departure
Before checking out of the lodge, get up early and enjoy a morning breakfast. Following that, your driver guide will move you to Kigali city, where you will have a brief opportunity to shop at local markets for souvenirs or visit Kigali Genocide memorial. If you have time left over, you can also stop by the pottery project and the Franco-Rwandan cultural center. After lunch, drive to the airport for your flight home.
