The 20 Days Hardcore Birding trip takes you through a number of activities including bird watching, wildlife viewing, gorilla trekking, chimpanzee tracking, among others.
Detailed Itinerary for the 20 Days Hardcore Birding trip
Day 1:
To begin with, you will travel from your pickup location. On arrival at your birding destination, you will settle in. Then, you will have dinner and overnight stay.
Accommodation-Travelers Inn Entebbe.
Day 2:
First of all, you will have breakfast early in the morning. Then, you will drive to Mabamba for the Shoebill. Later, drive to Masindi with a few stops for birding in the swamps. Lastly, you will have Dinner and overnight at Masindi hotel.
Day 3:
Whole day birding Budongo forest. Stay as above
Day 4:
Early morning bird Kanio pabidi en-route to Murchison. Dinner and overnight at Pakuba lodge.
Day 5:
Early morning game drive, afternoon boat trip, stay as above.
Day 6:
Early morning drive to bird the Escarpment. Stay at Masindi hotel
again.
Day 7:
Early morning drive to Kibale Forest National Park with a few stops for birding. This day is a long drive on a rough road. Dinner and overnight at Kibale forest cottages.
Day 8:
Whole day birding Kibale forest, Chimp trekking. Stay as above.
Day 9:
Early morning transfer to Semliki birding en-route.
Dinner and overnight at Rain bow camp.
Day 10:
Whole day birding the Albertine Endemics. Stay as above.
Day 11:
Another full day at Semliki NP. Dinner and above as above
Day 12:
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth N.P birding en-route. Dinner and overnight at Bush lodge.
Day 13:
Early morning game drive, afternoon boat trip. Stay as above.
Day 14:
Early morning game drive at Ishasha sector for climbing lions, afternoon drive to Bwindi Forest National Park. Stay at Bwindi view camp.
Day 15:
Whole day birding Buhoma sector. Dinner and overnight as above.
Day 16:
Transfer to Ruhizha birding via “the neck”. Dinner and overnight at Tavern cottages.
Day 17:
Whole day birding Mubwindi swamp for African Green Broad bill and other specials. Evening drive to Rushaga and stay at Lake Mutanda resort
Day 18:
Early morning Gorilla tracking, evening drive to stay at White Horse Inn, Kabale.
Day 19:
Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park with stops for birding. Stay at Lake Mburo Safari lodge.
Day 20:
Early morning boat ride for the African fin foot and other water birds. Afternoon drive back to Entebbe for your evening flight.
