Rushaga Gorilla safari Lodge is an upmarket facility tucked away at the boundary line of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest – home of the endangered mountain gorillas. Managed by Crystal Lodges Uganda, this is one of the luxury safari lodges in the Rushaga Sector in South Bwindi. When you stay at the Gorilla Safari Lodge, you are not far from briefing point of the Rushaga area. Therefore, you do not have to drive long distances on the morning to catch up with your gorilla trek.

The Lodge is small and intimate. It has the main lodge which includes a restaurant, bar, and a lounge where one can relax and sit back. There is usually a fire in the evening which adds to the ambiance of the lodge.

Accommodation
Accommodation is provided in eight self-contained cottages. Two of these cottages are double family units for traveling families or for friends traveling together.
The rooms are nicely furnished. One of the addition pluses is that each cottage has a fireplace to take the chill out of the cold Bwindi Impenetrable Forest nights. It also does get chilly here due to the elevation of the area.
The cottages are of solar and there is plenty of hot water for a nice shower after gorilla tracking.

Getting There:
By Air: You can easily reach the lodge using Charter Flights. These are from Entebbe or Kajjansi to Kisoro, with a road transfer from the airstrip in Kisoro to the lodge.
By Road: You can hire a car from Car rental Uganda for those who need private transport. You will travel through Kabale at about 427km. Once you reach Kabale, break off and drive past Muko to Nshongi where the lodge is located.
