Amenities

Buhoma Lodge’s 8 lovely chalets are simple yet fitted with plenty of little luxuries, from large comfortable beds to spacious ensuite bathrooms containing rustic stone rain showers with plenty of hot water. Some even feature Victorian-style claw-footed bathtubs, whilst all have furnished verandas overlooking the often mist-shrouded forest canopy.

The elevated main lodge contains a welcoming restaurant and bar, warmed by an open fireplace. This is where you’ll find a spa treatment room as well as handy power points for recharging electronic devices. From here, the departure area for guided gorilla trekking and forest walks is very close by. During your stay, you can also visit a local Batwa Pygmy community, tour a hospital and learn about Batwa cultural traditions.

How to get to Buhoma Lodge

Guests can fly into Kihihi airstrip from Uganda’s Entebbe International Airport (approx. 50 minutes) or from another lodge in the region, where they transfer them by road to Buhoma Lodge (around 1.5 hours).
