The Bwindi impenetrable national park is a spectacular location famous for its gorilla trekking activities that are carried out here. The Bwindi national park is divided into four sectors of Buhoma, Ruhija, Rushanga, and Nkuringo in which half of the world’s endangered gorilla species live in their natural habitat. There are 3 Gorilla families in Nkuringo Sector namely; Nkuringo, Bushaho, and Christmas family.
Uganda tourism board is responsible for maintaining information pertaining to tourism in Uganda. The visitors in the park are limited to a one-hour time to be with the gorillas the moment you spot them and this only allows just 8 people trekking given gorilla families at a time. Bwindi and Mgahinga national park are the only parks in which mountain gorillas live in their natural habitat in Uganda and these have got unique individuals called the silverbacks which are the dominant gorilla species for each gorilla family.
