Lake Elementaita Serena Camp features elegant tented accommodation and award-winning service. Our environmentally friendly camp is roughly 135 kilometers from Nairobi. Conversely, there is an airstrip next to the camp for private or chartered flights. Please note that access to the camp is available only through Reservation or previous arrangements with camp management

FLAMINGO SUITE
Firstly, treat yourself to an unforgettable escape in this lush suite, our camp’s largest and most extravagant accommodation. Secondly, the Flamingo Suite has a separate bedroom and a lounge, which features a television and a mini-fridge. Additionally, the bathroom includes a large Jacuzzi with unparalleled Lake Elementaita views. There is also a spacious private balcony provides further lake vistas.
Sunbird lodge
To begin with, Sunbird Lodge, an eco-friendly luxury lodge is located in the Great Rift Valley, one of the natural wonders of the world. We are less than 127 km (1 ½ hour) from Nairobi and a few minutes off the new and superb Nairobi – Nakuru highway. In addition, we are on a very good, private access road at the shore of Lake Elementaita.
It is a RAMSAR Site – Convention of Wetlands of International Importance and declared as UNESCO World Heritage Site and overlooking the vast, unspoiled plains.
Located on private land there are no park or conservation fees in addition to our very competitive rates. On excellent roads, it is only 20 minutes to the famous Nakuru National Park, approx. 30 minutes from Lake Naivasha and approx. 45 minutes from Hells Gate National Park.
Accommodation
Sunbird Lodge sits on 55 acres of private land overlooking the beautiful Lake Elementaita. In addition, there are 16 cottages spread out 9 cottages on the upper level and 7 on the lower level. Uniquely situated on the shoreline of sapphire-blue Lake Elementaita where hundreds of thousands of birds congregate and right next to Soysambu Wildlife Conservancy in the Great Rift Valley.
