Four gorillas lodge Bwindi is a luxurious accommodation nestled in Bwindi Rushaga sector. It offers luxury lodging services to travelers trekking gorillas in Bwindi. In addition, the lodge is the most famous lodge in Bwindi Impenetrable National park with privacy, serenity and rejuvenation. It is also the closest lodge to Rushaga sector -10 minutes away from gorilla tracking and briefing center. The lodge is located via Bugambira, located in a close wild haven, meters away from the town offering a serene environment.
Rooms
Firstly, the lodge provides luxurious modern 8 spacious rooms/ cottages. Furthermore, each one has African architectural designs with a terrace and garden. The cottages are also surrounded by a dense forest and feature upscale elegance within the comfy homesteading. More to that, each room (single, double and triple) has traditional interior designs. Additionally, each of the cottages is insect proof with an en-suite bathroom, warm shower and a flush toilet.
In line with the foregoing, the rooms are en-suite with fulltime room service, a seating area and bath/shower. All these are designed to reach the luxury standards cozy enough for your stay. The rooms also have elegant ceilings with massive wood beams. These provide overlooking views to the visitors with an African safari design for the rooms.

Accessing the lodge.
The lodge is located in the South western part of Uganda near Kisoro town. Therefore, you can access it by road or air. More to that, the lodge is just 5 minutes away from Kisoro airstrip. For those who use air, you can take a domestic flight from Entebbe/Kajjansi airstrip to Kisoro airstrip from where our driver will pick you up to your lodge. Those driving from Kampala, it’s an 8 to 9 hours’ drive to Kisoro town from where you continue to the lodge. You can also drive from Kigali Rwanda to Bwindi which is a 4-5 hours ride using Cyanika or Katuna borders. This is quicker route and therefore implies that you should book an east African visa which gives you multiple entries into Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda and it is only US100$.
Activities that you can do while staying in Four gorillas lodge Bwindi.
Gorilla trekking and habituation experience, the core activity is done here which gives million memories for all who take part in the activity. The lodge is located just 10 minutes away from the briefing center of Rushaga sector Bwindi impenetrable national park. This makes the park very accessible and convenient for those who wish to go trekking. Bwindi is famously known for gorilla trekking with an estimated number of 400 gorilla species making it the only place in the entire world with half of the gorillas that still exist. For those who wish to go for a habituation experience, habituated gorillas are exposed to people and therefore used to them, this gives you a chance to enjoy a 4 hours company with the habituated gorillas.
Bird watching
Bird watching in Bwindi impenetrable forest done with a senior guide who helps in guiding all tourists in the activity. The park hosts about 350 bird species including 23 Albertine rift endemics. The park is endowed with different bird species that are unique and some of which can only be traced in the Albertine rift and not any other part of Uganda like black-fly catcher African olive-pigeon, buff-spotted wood, pecker, Pettit’s cuckoo-shrike, Cassin’s flycatcher, Ruwenzori batis, ansorge’s greenbuls, snowy-crowned robin chat, African paradise fly catcher, cape wagtail and many others.
Nature walks
Nature walks through the surrounding forest at the lodge. The thick natural forest has120 mammals, different beautiful species like primates; baboons, gorillas, monkeys like the blue and the golden monkeys. There are plenty of other species like the birds which are available for birding, wild animals and mammals like African elephants. The forest walks will help you take nature into your own hands as you will be able to spot birds, animals, primates and this will be at your own pace as you make your way through it under a guide.
Batwa community visits
Batwa community visits. Bwindi forest was once a home of the indigenous Batwa people who were forced out of it when the park got gazetted. The visitors, therefore, give you a chance to experience the local cultures of the Batwa and the Bakiga people who live on the out skirts of the forest. Your trip to these small communities will enable you to interact with these people freely. More to that, you will listen to their stories of their lives before they forcefully left the forest. Additionally, learn different ways of how they live. For instance, collecting wild honey, making art and craft from trees, making music out of wooden instruments, making fire using hands.
