Bwindi is located in the South western part of Uganda (463.7 km from Kampala). The park has one of the most biologically diverse rainforests dating back to 25000 years which contains about 400 plant species. The whole park comprises of four sectors namely Buhoma, Ruhija, Rushaga and Nkuringo.

In those sectors, gorilla trekking and habituation experience activities take place. Bwindi is famously known for gorilla trekking. Furthermore, it is a home to around 400 mountain gorilla species. This makes it the only place in the entire world with half of the gorillas that still exist.
